ASUU Backfires FG directive to Commence Academic Activities via Virtual Means.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities of Nigeria have turned down the directive of Federal Government to continue learning online so that students can continue to catch up with the academic routine from the comfort of their homes. 

ASUU states that the directive is a ridiculous one and that Nigerian Universities lack the amenities, fund and infrastructure to put this into place. The body further state in their claim that, if at all E-learning is going to be adopted into the Nigeria Educational system, this is not the best time to do its trial and error. 

The body accuses the FG of giving directives without backup. FG

gave the instruction based on Student dare need to continue their studies despite the lockdown but the financial supports to carry this on and the strategy to use was not given by the Federal Government.

This exactly is what ASUU finds to be ridiculous and it has vowed to remain unmoved by the directive.
