Tertiary Institutions Nationwide Resumption Date in Nigeria

Disclaimer: FG has not set an official date for resumption. 

It has been circulating widely that the Federal Government through the ministry of education have announced that Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges are to resume back to session on 1st of June. 

However, this information is untrue and unproven as Federal Government is yet to give a final say on when precisely schools are to resume from lockdown. 

The lockdown was eased on the 4th of May after the President of the republic made an announcement a week earlier. However, this ease does not include Churches, Schools and any organization where large crowd gather.

Pending the time a permanent solution or preventive measure will be found to COVID-19, all students are to note that the Federal Government is yet to give a precise date for resumption of Academic activities.

In the light of this, debunk every rumour that states June 1 or otherwise as the approved date of resumption by Federal Government and stay updated while hoping a lasting solution surfaces to the present world's predicament.

It is also to be noted that schools are likely to rush their academic calendar once the resumption is announced. Therefore students of schools who were close to the end of session and were approaching the commencement of exam should use this period to study hard as there may not be enough time to do that once they resume.

Freshers of different institution as well who are yet to commence full activities are also to prepare all the necessary they need as there won't be enough time to start running around once the resumption is announced.
